I mean, i saw a few clips of him playing football and i say he was a natural during his high school days, definetly a prodigy...

Some reasons why he should stuck to playing football:

His size 6'0 although small for a QB, was still better then being a SG in basketball!!! He's no PG, although his passing skills have improved with age...

If he hadnt go to jail, he might have ended up playing the NFL rather then the NBA...

His extremely fast and quick, which he can use to greater leverage in football then basketball...( i mean how many times have you seen a fast PG driving to the paint, only to get blocked by the center as hes like a feet taller??)

TO the secong guy, Iverson was FAST, he could outrun MOST players and btw i think he could definetly handle the mass, he's already crashing with 7'0 centers in the NBA, almost always leading in freethrow attempts and iverson's the one who plays through injury, so whats your point?

Iverson will be crushed in professional football. Why wouldn't you want him in the NBA , anyway. He is one of the prople who revolutionized the game of basketball. If it wasn't for him, some players would not be who they really are.

How many millions of dollars has he made playing basketball? One hundred million? Plus, there's other income related to basketball such as shoe deals.

While it's fun to speculate on him as a football player, you'd have to say his decision couldn't have worked out any better than it did. Guys like that are great athletes and can usually coast through high school sports, but it's a big jump to say he could have been an NFL player.

Allan Iverson is insane man on the hardwood. He may be a great basketball player, but honestly, I can't imagine him ever surprassing his stats on the court.

He will go down as one of the best scoring PGs in the history of the game. He's a legend.

I doubt he could have accomplished as much playing football.

So my answer is no. Hope this helps.

No. He's an athlete. He probably was a very good high school football player, but then so are thousands of other guys. He earned a college scholarship to Georgetown. He was the first overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft, the 1996-1997 NBA Rookie of the Year, and the 2001 NBA MVP. Doesn't sound to me like he made the wrong choice.

If he bulked up he could have been a successful NFL corner. Maybe the best. So what? The highest paid corners don't make half what he makes playing basketball. Even if he could have been a good NFL qb (a HUGE if given his size) he wouldn't have made the kind of money he's making now. NBA stars make more money than NFL stars, even if they're qb's. Why would he expose himself to greater risk of injury, and a shorter career for less money. He has made vastly more money playing bball than he ever could have playing fball. If what you say about his jailtime is true, maybe that was a blessing.

no iverson made the rite choice. just think about it like this his body has already been thru so much that hes always getting injured playing basketball. now imagine if he played football which is a much more physical sport, hed die. and iverson is a guarenteed future hall of famer. wat kinda person wouldnt want that? he single handedly took the 76ers to the finals but he couldnt win the championship alone. hes not a tru football player.

A.I. would have gotten killed if he played football. His body couldnt handle the intensity of the game of football. He is doing something good now with what he has, by helping the Nuggets get one step closer to an NBA championship. He is fast, but he needs more mass on his body to play football.

The size is the issue. I saw some clips of him playing football and I admit he was really good. He was a Mike Vick type QB, except Mike Vick is a couple inches taller and like 20 pounds heavier.

This is like asking Jordan to stick with baseball instead of basketball. AI is still great in basketball and I see no reason for him to stick with football. It is really his own personal choice and I think he made the right one!
