Phoenix Suns - I may be biast because I'm a Phoenix Suns fan, but I honestly think they have the best starting lineup in basketball. (Diaw, Stoudamire, Bell, Nash, Marion) They have a brilliant coach, and a two time MVP.
Give me your team and a reason behind it. The best answer will be no matter what team, but the reason behind it.

Im a homer. Been in Texas my whole 17..almost 18 years of existence. With that said obviously Dallas is my choice. Other than me bein a homer I do like how they've evolved over the last few years. I mean lets face it they havent always been this good. The thing to a great team are its components and how they work together. Dallas as well as Phoenix have a method that works for them. I think Nash goin to the Suns was the best thing that happened to both organizations. It opened the doors for us to mold those that we have. Would Devin have been our go guy to against the Spurs last year if we had Nash? NOPE! Would Terry be one of our clutch guys in the final minutes of a game? I think not. We have transformed from our "soft white boys" label and come together to be a contending team. We can run with the best of em, can shoot from the perimeter, actually have a humongous presence in the paint, and for the first times in lord knows how long can play defense. We fought, scratched, and clawed our way to the top last year only to free fall and take a header into the pavement but I feel we needed that in order to be the team we are today. I coulda done without the heartbreak of bein so close but its somethin to learn by. It wont be a cake walk to win for us but I definitely feel we have the elements needed in our starters (Dirk, Jet, JHo, Damp, and Devin) and even our bench is loaded with the likes of Stack, Diop, Buckner, Croshere, George. Not to mention our young hopefuls JJ, Pops, and Mo. Its simple....play our game and we win. End of discussion. We have too many people to gaurd and all are capable of playing defense.

I really think Dallas this year will win the Championship. Look at the way they are playing. Dirk really looks like the MVp for this year. Howard made the all star and well deserved both defense and offense and Terry is playing well at point. Mounting the middle there are two role players who can step up if needed to ... Dampier, not really his old self but he is playing decent defensively with Diop from the bench. Not to mention the offense from Stackhouse off the bench. They really have a shot this year. I just hope that they will not stuff up in the Finals like last year. It can happen again simply becos the West will be so tired after battling the toughest conference and the East best team will have it easy and hence players are properly rested.

I see the Mavs and the Suns colliding for the Western title while the Heat and Pistons will be fighting it out in the East. The Mavs have the upperhand in their match up against the Suns and should be back in the Finals. The Heat's chances against the Pistons hinge on Wade's condition. If Wade comes back, the Heat could be back to defend their crown. Otherwise, the Pistons could make the return trip to the Finals. Either way, the Mavs are solid favorites to win the title.

I agree. the Phoenix Suns are my favorite team too... but its not just that... Nash, who should be getting his third MVP, sets up an incredible force with Amare, Matrix, 3D, & RaRa... also, the Suns have a pretty good bench w/ Barbosa and Jones leading the way... they are a very good ball team and have the potential to finally go all the way this year

i hav 2 go with the detroit pistons. see im a pistons fan because they are the only team that really plays d-fense anymor. now its all about shooting and shooting and more shooting, and the reason that the pistons is a hard team is because they play defense and they stop other teams from dribbling and shooting wherever they want.
