Sounds like you have a stomach virus. A spicy chicken combo? Really? That doesn't sound like "pacing" yourself. Just keep yourself well hydrated. Water, ginger ale, gatorade (but sip slowly, it has a lot of sugar). Eat more bland foods to start out. Not spicy chicken!!! Toast, crackers, soups, bananas, rice, and eat a little at a time. The headache is part of the stomach virus and also from lack of water. These stomache viruses can also cause muscle aches. Drink slowly. I had a bad stomach virus went I was 6 months pregnant with my first. It lasts about 24 hours. Call your doctor if you can't hold anything at all down after 24 hours. Doctors typically have someone "on call" 24 hours a day. Remember, take it slow. sip slowly, eat slowly, and no milk or dairy products. They only irritate your stomach. A typical stomach virus will run it's course in 24-48 hours. Good luck.

well for one after being that sick a spicy chicken combo would have been the last thing i ate.i am 6 weeks pregnant now and having a very hard time eating and drinking myself so it could be part of the pregnancy you seem to be doing better today so instead of wasting your time at the ER i would wait till the morning and call your doctor. If things get worse then yes i would go to get checked but if you were able to keep spicy food down you should be fine. As for the headache it is safe to take a tylenol so try that and like i said if it does not get better call your doctor in the morning

If your able to keep down water / Gatorade you should be OK. try to drink more water then Gatorade as Gatorade has a lot of sugar that might make you feel sicker. you can also try eating crushed ice and Popsicles. keeping down the Wendy's was also a good sign, Sounds like you has a 24 hr stomach virus
as long as you keep drinking water and eating slowly you should be fine, If you continue to vomit all night you should go to ER for an I V so you don't get dehydrated.

yes mam' you definitly should. Even if its jsut a virus or a bug. I was 17 weeks pregnant and came down with something, i wasnt to sure on what it was and i waited 2 days to finally go to the hospital. I lost 10 pounds in that 2 days and since i was so sick it was eating away my insides cause not only was i not eating or drinking anything, whatever i would normally have for myself, the baby took away from me. she said i could of hurt the baby really bad and my self! Ever since then i am very pre-cautious about everything. They will probably hookk you up to IV's and everything.
Good luck & feel better!

From the time i was 2 months until i had my baby i threw up all day long. I got use to it and the doctor did write out phenergan but it did not help.
Throwing up during pregnancy is normal.
If you are sick however like with the stomach flu then maybe you should go cause you could get really dehydrated and lose potassium which is very dangerous.
Are you feeling very weak? If so that can be a sign of low potassium which i had alot of during pregnancy and had to have IV'S put into me of straight potassium. You should go if you think this could be the cause.
Good luck and Take care

Of course you don't need to go to the hospital.
Your pregnant.
Throwing up and feeling horrible comes with being pregnant.
With my son I threw up through out my whole pregnancy. I couldn't keep anything down. There was only 2 months out of the 9 that I wasn't sick.
As long as your not losing a lot of weight, there is no need for you to go to the hospital. It's completly normal.
WIth my daughter I only threw up once and that was due to having the flu. So if this is your first child, which I'm assuming it is since you asked this question, you may not have this sickness with your next.
Vitamin B12 may help you with your sickness. I would go and get some right away so you don't have to be miserable.
Good luck.

Sounds like you had yourself a tummy virus. Just keep on with the fluids and eat things that aren't so spicy or rich, maybe some bland things like soup, yogurt, crackers, toast, grilled or baked chicken and maybe mashed potatoes. If you have not thrown up all day, you should be fine. I had the virus with both pregnancies and didn't need to go to the hospital. If anything feels not right, then go.

It sounds perfectly normal. Even though the 'morning sickness' phase has usually passed by now, it's common to have bouts with 'morning' sickness type symptoms. It could have been a 24hr bug or it just could have been a spike in horomones. No need to rush to the ER, if worried, call your local hospital and talk to a nurse or doctor or just wait till the morning and call your physician.
Good luck :)
Also, that spicy chicken combo sounds REALLY good now :)

First of all, STOP drinking Gatorade!!!! The ingredients in those sports drinks are not good for either you or the baby. The only people that should be drinking SPORTS drinks are SPORTS people.
Secondly, if your asking if you should go to the emergency room then you already know the answer is yes.
PS if you had been vomiting all day yesterday and last night then why the hell would you think of eating a Wendy's spicy chicken COMBO.......the mind boggles!!!

NO! If you were able to eat a soda and a spicy chicken sandwich i think you are ok. Pregnancy is just weird like that. Now if you are having a headache and dizziness and bleeding or cramping or something like that then you might need to go.
