Do they like eachother? Seems to me like Luke doesn't want to be like him. Luke went to Arizona while his Dad went to UCLA. Luke plays for the Lakers, Bill played with the Celtics?

Obviously, Luke didn't want to go to the same college as his dad, because his dad was the 2nd best player in the history of the school... that's a lot of unecessary pressure.

Players don't always have a say as to where they play in the NBA.

If Bill were in his prime now, he'd want nothing to do with the Celtics. But at that time, the Celtics needed another great frontcourt player to compete with the Lakers, and the addition of Walton put them over the top in 1986, his only fully healthy year in the NBA. The combo of Parrish, Bird, McHale and Walton formed the greatest front line in NBA history.

And yes, they like each other.

To me, it always sounds funny when Bill Walton does the color commentary to a Laker game... he refers to Luke as "Walton", just as he would use any other player's last name...but it sounds funny hearing Bill refer to his own son in that manner.

I think they are a lot alike. Bill is Mr. Fundamentals and I'm sure everything Luke knows about the game came from Bill. As far as the Lakers and celtics thing, I think Bill is happy about that one because he looks at kobe like the best player ever and loves the lakers ever since he has become an announcer so why wouldn't he want his son to play there.

I think that Bill Walton needs to take his garbage commentating and use it on that garbage tattoo on his sons arm.
