I think some candidates will be Therrien, Carlyle (Anaheim), Hartley(Thrashers) and Vigneault (Canucks). However, Therrien made the most significant impact on the Pens' turnaround by utilizing his "system".

He should definatly be a finalist but not enough to win. He didn't do a fantastic job when he coached the Canadiens and the Pens do have some powerful players to work with. My vote is Nashville's coach as well. He's been with the team for a while and has really built a strong unit. He deserves it a little more. Therrien will get eventually.

Michel Therrien has been an amazing coach. He completely turned the Pens around. he took a team from next to last to rivaling for first in their division and second in the conference. thats amazing! his style of play is great and he is smart with the lines. he also knows how to handle the players. if theyre doing bad he'll tell them. he doesnt hold back. his coaching style closely resembles Herb Brooks and thats why he should be NHL coach of the year. he deserves it.

therrien is the finest coach ceremony now. yet he's giving each of the credit to the team. he ought to get a number of it. he presented a team that replaced into very last in the dep. and convention to a team is on a 11-0-2 streak and is 2d of their branch and fourth of their convention.

I totally agree and have been saying that he should be up for Coach of the Year. I don't think last year was totally Eddy O's fault but he wasn't the Coach the team needed. They needed a coach who wasn't a player's coach. They needed more discipline. I think last year was also an issue of not having team chemistry.

Absolutely! My vote goes with Paul Steigerwald's and Bob Errey's...(FSN Pittsburgh viewers will understand)

The Pens have made a complete turnaround since firing Eddie Olczyk in the middle of last season and hiring Therrien. Good stuff...love watching the boys...

Let's Go Pens!!!

I agree. The Pens are a much improved team over last year. I'm hoping they go pretty far if not all the way to the Stanley Cup finals.

He should be in the running and be one of the finalists. Other coaches who should get considered are Barry Trotz (Nashville) and Lindy Ruff (Buffalo). Personally, I would go with Trotz.
