Yes.

or at least, the varieties I've seen have. But they seem to come out with new ones every year. So if you wait long enough, they may develop a thornless one.

My garden center has sold them for 7+ years now.
Yes the ones we have all have thorns. But they sure are Knock Outs to look at!
