I think that has to be up to you. My mother had three and she told me that with each one she felt like she had lost her child, not a little blobby fetus, but her baby, a baby that she had a future for and plans for, i truly belive that a fetus is a baby and a human being from the time of conception. If you made it to two weeks then it had a heart beat..and was someone to you..and that's all that matters. My mother is a strong christian and knows that she will meet those baby boys in heaven one day. She thought of them to be people, and i belive that its a way of coping, and when u have children someday you will still have a place in your heart for that baby that was a creation and was yours. So yes I certainly belive that you were a mom...But..just know that 40% of women have miscarriages before they have children and carry them full term. Even though i know that i lost three brothers, i think that if my mother would have had them, she would have not had anymore children and I wouldn't have my little sister....So everything happens for a reason...I just realized that i got very off topic just now..but i hope this kinda helped answer your question..i dint think that the baby had to be born for you not to have been its mom,..and still be its mom..Well have a good night. I'll pray for you=)

I guess it depends on your views as to when the foetus becomes a life. Some people believe it becomes a life on conception, other believe it is not a life until after a certain amount of weeks in the womb and other not until it is born. I believe that you start being a mom when the baby/foetus starts to be dependent on you for life. So that would be from the very point of conception. So my answer is Yes you would still be a mom.

Being a mom doesn't mean delivering a child, or even being pregnant. Being a mom is the love that you have for a child. The joy you get from the little things this child does, or the sorrow of the things that didn't come. If you cared for your child and grieve for your child...then you are a mom..no doubts. God sees you as a mother, and so do I.
