I play the piano, but I never had to do one of those state things. I had to do one with the French Horn, though. So I go, and I play Panis Angelicus [level 4] and when I was done, the adjudicator said I maybe should have crammed my hand into the bell to mute the piece, and I said no - it's a French Horn and should sound like one, and anyway, nobody said mute. So I get an
A.

Piano players are a dime a dozen. Good ones are entertaining. So just go, play the piece in an entertaining way and be done with it. Even if you get a bad score, so what? It's not the end of the universe. The point of playing the piano is to have a good time.

Three million, six hundred forty seven thousand, two hundred fifty eight people play the piano.

Okay, that's just a guess.

Good luck on your solo and ensemble. Practice deep breathing and relaxation techniques this week, then use them right before you play. And if you do mess up, what's the worst that can happen? I messed up big time for my symphony piano concerto audition, and lived to tell about it.

I used to play the piano and whenever I had to play in front of a lot of people, I would be scared out of my mind too. When it's your turn, just take a deep breath and don't focus on the audience. Also, don't worry about messing up. If you do, try to cover it up and make it seem as if it wasn't a mistake. Most of the time, the audience won't notice your mistakes. I hope you do well!!

There is nothing to fear. Just practice your solo. Also, you should practice in front of your family to be more comfortable with an audience. The main thing is to remember to just do your best, don't worry about mistakes. if you make one just keep going like you didn't make a mistake, chances are no one will know. But if when you make a mistake you stop the song , or start over , then everone will know. Keep you mind on your music, not what you think the judges think. They will usually criticize you and write on paper anything that will help you improve, they are not judging you to be mean, but to help you improve. So, don't worry , just do your best. Practice, and try to relax when you are on stage. Don't worry about anything, just do your best.
