you yawn to release carbon dioxide. sometimes tears will emerge because of a scrunching effect on the tear ducts.this puts More pressure on them and tears sometimes roll out. this is why it doesn't happen every time you yawn. if it does you may want to see a doctor to have your tear ducts/eyes examined. also glasses increase the amount because of eye differential.

I don't know... and i dont' think anybody does. Yawning is not scientifically understood at all; no one knows exactly why it happens or really what's going on when it happens. There are tons of hypotheses though....but in any case weird things can still happen, like the contagiousness of yawning, or medicines which cause to you have orgasms when yawning (clomipramine)

This happens to many people, including myself. It also depends on how great you yawn. Sometimes, I yawn and it happens. Sometimes, I yawn and it doesn't happen. However, this is nothing to worry about. Usually, it just means that your eyes aren't dried out and are keeping it that way by releasing fluid.

All of us tear when we yawn since when this happens, we open our mouth wide open and our facial muscles including the ones that are below our eye are stretched. By this, either it stimulates our lacrimal glands to produce tears or our lacrimal glands produces its own tears to protect our eyes since the muscles are stretched.
