Isn't it best to discuss a patient's problems with the Supervisor and NOT co-workers?

Trying to find the best way to explain this to a co-worker without offending.

well from what i know in some jobs, ie hospitol, ur not suppose to tell anyone about it

It shouldnt be a problem to discuss with your co-workers if they have the same job discription as you and they are not personally connected to the patient, but if your worried get your supervisors take on the problem.
