It stays for days. I am surrounded by people who smoke pot and end up mentally addled by it. I find it difficult to find anyone who can get serious work done in this situation.
Apparently, there are also some side effects. The ones I notice most are paranoia and mental dullness.
I'm not going to even try the stuff.

From your link:
Marijuana has often been touted as one of the safest recreational substances available. This is perhaps true; many reputable scientific studies support the conclusion that cocaine, heroine, alcohol, and even cigarettes are more dangerous to the user’s health than marijuana.
I have been using pot for most of my life and I want to tell all these 'doomsayers' the following:
1. Pot is not addictive. In fact I haven't lit up for more than three months as I write this.
2. Pot expands the mind, when used in moderation. One thinks things one would NEVER think of in 'normal' life.
3. Pot is a great aphrodisiac. Ask my girlfriend. She doesn't use the stuff, but is very quick to roll me a doobie, especially near bedtime. She knows!!!!!!!!
But, like everything in life, if used 'too much', pot has a negative effect. Used 'in moderation' it is great, and no Government, law or rule is ever going to convince me otherwise!

Marijuana is a potent antidepressant and one joint of normal pot is an over dose with lasting effects. One puff should be considered a sufficient dose. It has its place in medicine but because of abuse, it will remain illegal.

I think marijuana use is so intertwined in our culture they ought to decriminalize it, government could use some extra tax money anyway.

Working in a drug treatment facility I have seen the effects it has had on our clients. It generally leads to harder drugs such as cocaine and heroin.
