It's too easy to take advantage of things we enjoy and love. It's as easy as that. No one ever realizes how easy things can come and go.

It's a hard life lesson to learn, but it is very true. I think we are all so caught up in our own everyday lives and the fast pace of multi tasking, that we tend to take our friends, family and even our possessions for granted. We assume they will always be there when we need them. Once you learn the lesson and lose someone close to you, or lose everything you have, you will never take those people or those things for granted again. I say this from experience, unfortunately. Be thankful for what you do have, tell people you love them and live life to the fullest each day because we never know what the future may bring us or take from us.

We take things for granted. Get used to having it or them around and think it will always be that way. Then we don't appreciate what we have as much as we should. Lose something or someone and then you notice the big loss in your life. That's when you realize what you had.

It's human nature. If I sat around every minute of the day counting the people and things I have I'd never get anything done. It's not healthy to wonder every day will my husband die today or my child-what is normal is doing what needs done and everyone once in a while thinking of our friend.

I think this is because most of us always want to improve ourselves, so we can not appreciate fully the things the have right now. Always wanting to go forward leaves us little time to reflect on what we have already got :)

Because when we have these things, we start to take them for granted. Then if we don't have them any more, we feel as though a part of us has died. We actually grieve...

probley because its true, when you take what you have for granted and only know its there and not realize its real importance to you and then it goes and you dont have it anymore. Then it hits you that you lost whats important to you.

because, as few people said here already, we take many things for granted. we have partner, and even tho, we probably love him or her, we treat them bad, cause we think, it can be excused. we dont realize, how quickly we can loose something, what means so much to us. people dont have enough respect, and they only gain it, when they loose something, what they loved or was dear to them.
