I know you guys deal with a million different questions that are similar to this one, but I am so unsure of what is going on!

I'm almost 40 weeks, have lost part of my mucus plug (so I think), and am having mild menstrual-like cramps that come and go. Also, my tailbone/rectal area is hurting, badly, off and on. I have a crazy nesting instinct and absolutely cannot get comfortable all of the sudden. Am I about to go into labor?

Oh, and my cervix has completely softened and as of last Thursday, had started to open up.

Have you been timing your cramps? Or timing the pains in the rectal area? I am 38 weeks. I experience a lot of pain in the rectal area and cramping on an off!!! It drives me nuts, and im questionable about my mucous plug if i lsot it or not? But if i was you i would start timing everything, every little pain. if they become consistent then call labor and delivery! Even if you are having false labor, you are better off knowing and not stressing about it. How is your back? have you been ggetting any back pains?? Or what about pressure.. Those are 2 other things you should look for too when you are getting the cramping!

Good luck!!
