It's using sex appeal, which is different than using actual sex. It insinuates sexual things, but never actually forces the act of sex on its customers, which makes it a lot different than prostitution. The message is supposed to be that the product will make the customer sexy like the models, not that buying the product will get you sex with the models.

Victoria 's Secrets isn't selling sex per se .You must think that the clothers-lingerie,cosmetics and so on are soley sold and used by women to attract Men or a "Significant Other" which is only one objective and a minor one at that.Even so not all attractions lead to sex. The Majority of women of which I am one dress to be attractive to oneself, feel attractive for it satisfies ones human nature. ,and if being attractive draws attention, which it surely does it can be sufficient and satisfying to ones own ego and sense of well being. When we talk of prostituion there is a Monetary price set for sex and money is exchanged when it occurs. Even if I dressed with the purpose of seduction-Behaviour indulged in by women to attract men and men to attract women since we first walked on the planet I am not selling myself to anyone who has the price for am way too choosey and independent and do not consider myself a commodity to be bought. Even in the animal kingdowm although its the male who is colorful and has attributes that draw attention to himself with the purpose of attracting a female/mate it is simply nature and how the species continues.

I dont really see anything wrong with there campaign. It is underwear and beauty products for women. I think to sell undies you kinda gotta SHOW THE UNDIES! Prostitution is a toatlly different thing...other posters have done a fine job of explaining it.
