Peircing your belly button..?

Im getting my belly button peirced and its awsome cuse my moms trusting me to do it and im just 14, but im 135 pounds and 5'3 and im kinda fat (thats wut kids at school say). I feel embarresed cuse all my friends who have it done are skinny...so any help ?? should i or what? is it gross?

and on a scale of 1-10 how bad does it hurt 10 being PAAAINFUL

I would definitely wait to get it done, at least until you are 100% positive you don't mind having this for the rest of your life. I had mine done and sometimes I regret having it done. It looks great, but whenever I wear tight shirts the belly ring shows. I don't know if this will happen to you, but I have to wear the belly ring at all times. If not it's really hard and painful to put back in even though I have had it for years. You have to be responsible to clean it daily while it's healing. For the pain thing, I would not get mine done again if I went back in time. It really hurt, so I would suggest asking for a pain reliever beforehand.
If you do decide to get it done here are some tips. If the place is any good they will require a parent signature if you are under 18 and will make you sign a paper stating you saw them dispose of the needle and they guarantee sterility. Get antimicrobial soap. It works really well to clean the piercing.

I wish you the best of luck! I wouldn't worry about being called fat. Being 135 at your age is not fat, it's healthy. You shouldn't get the piercing for others, you should get for yourself.

First of all, remember that you're still a kid. Which parent in their right mind would tell his/her 14 year old kid to pierce their belly button?! The fact that you're 135 pounds and being only 5'3 should answer if you should. Another thing, if your friends jump off a cliff, will you do the same?
Your spelling of the word "pierce" is incorrect, that proves that you're not ready for the grown up things yet.

All I can say, is that 135lbs is not alot. I am 5'7 and weigh 148. You are probably all muscle honey. I am also 14 and I feel the same way about myself. But I think you should do it. Don't worry about others, you are doing this because YOU think it's cute, you are doing it for YOU. I love belly botton rings....SO CUTE. I think you shouldn't miss this chance. And you are not at all fat. You aren't fat until you weigh 200 or more lbs with no muscle. The more you look down on yourself, the more people will look down on you. And be happy with yourself. Don't change for others. If you want to change, change for yourself. The way I see it, We have ONE life, just one, if you spend that life trying to live up to others expectations then you are wasting away the fun you could be have or the things you could be learning. Ok, I'm getting off subject. I think you should go for it. It would be extra cute.

Well I don't have a piercing so I can't tell you if it is painful or not.

But as far as getting it done, just do it. If it makes you happy. 135lbs. at 5' 3" isn't really that fat. If you don't feel comfortable at your weight, work out and lost a couple of pounds.

But if your happy the way you look and you want to get your belly button pierced, **** those other kids that say you're fat. Because this is your life and you are happy the way you are you don't need to conform to society's standards.

being chubby doesnt make getting your belly button pierced any more painful as the piercing goes through a small part of your belly...

I'd say it was a 4. It didnt really hurt, it felt hot afterwards...

make reeeeally sure that you want it cause when you take it out it leaves a HUGE hole and I still have a scar from taking mine out 6 months ago...

and make sure you keep it clean. When it gets infected its really painful and gross (my friend's got infected all the time cause she didnt clean it).

I say only do it if YOU want to. I got it done and I weight a little bit more than you.....it's really not that painful I'd say a 3 its the thought of it that freaks ya out. Just dont look at the needle or n e thing...close your eyes and you'll be fine :)

dont worry bout wut the kids say. im 17 5'7" and 113 pds and got my belly button done. i would say it looks cute on skinny girls. i wouldnt say its gross for a heavier girl but the question is would it b a waste. do u wear tops that show ur belly button or would noone see it anyway? id say it was a 9 but i hate all pain and freak out wit needles. i want my tongue done but my dads like noooooo ur tongue will fall off lol...ill persuade him eventually put the puppy eyes on hehe ok lol sry byez

i just got mine done today!
im 5'6 and im 123 pounds
don't worry about your weight hun
you dont have to be embarrased
if your really want to get it done then you should
but if you are just doing it becuase everyone else is you shouldnt, you might regret it

so yes today i got mine done and hmm they clamp it and that doesnt really hurt at all
all it is, is one sharp pain
id say its 6 on being painful
but i hear the skinnyer you are the more it hurts

It hurts like crap and it will make you look common and trashy.

You aren't fat. Don't listen to the kids at school. You don't have to be like everyone else. Don't be a sheep just blindly doing what everyone else does.

Hey its your body do what you want with it. I have my tongue,nose,belly, and ears pierced and believe me getting your belly button done isn't that bad and it's not that of big a deal.
