I have WinTV2000 and I'd like to watch a movie played on a VCR. I already checked, the VCR is hooked up, on, and playing the film, but I can't figure out how to make WinTV show it to me.

I've played movies like this on WinTV before but that was ages ago and I don't remember how to anymore...

Feed the RCA "out" jacks from the VCR to the RCA "in' jacks of the capture card.

You can also do it via the coax cable but I imagine this connection on the WinTV is already being used for cable reception.

The rest is up to the software you are using ....there will be a setting in there that allows you to choose the"source" of the video you wish to view (choose "composite").
