Israel was about to be attacked by Syria and Egypt and struck first . they were so effective that they were ready to cross the Suez canal , had pushed the Syrians out of the Golan Heights. They Arab armies sued for peace before they lost any more land. That was in June 1967 the 5th to the 10th
