Mike Madono is an overrated piece of excrement like many other Dallas Stars ( Brett Hull ). The League Bias for certain teams (Detroit, Dallas, San Jose, Et Al!), allows mediocre players like Madono to excel, while really hard working awesome players (Briere, Gomez, etc.) are overlooked. It's time for a fan judging program, that is not based on dollars and favoritism to prevail in this league, before we become as ludicrous as the NFL, WWF, and MLB. Will someone give me an AMEN??????

Tootoo hit Modano mainly clean, but a little late. So Robidas went in, as most good teamates would do when the star player gets some negative physical attention from the other team. Robidas was just about there and ready to hit Tootoo when he turned around and sucker punched Robidas right in the face. Robi should not have gotten a charging penalty. Mike Modano, on the other hand, slashed Tootoo right when Robidas was falling to the ice. Tootoo slashed back on Mo's ankle. I think it was Modano who should've gotten the Stars penalty for slashing not Robidas for charging.

From what I saw Modano hit Tootoo in the back, not on the head. This was AFTER he sucker punched Robidas. Tootoo hit Modano, pretty cleanly, then Robidas was coming in and Tootoo punched him. I don't think anyone knows exactly what Robidas was going to do to Tootoo but anytime any player puts a good hit on a "franchise" player such as Modano, one of his team mates is going to come in and say something. Robidas was obviously going in but I don't think he deserved to be sucker punched. After seeing all of this I was surprised that Robidas got a charging penalty and Modano received nothing. I figured Modano and Tootoo would both get some sort of penalty but not Robidas. I'm sure in the end Bettman will screw this up like most everything else he does.

Tootoo's an agitator and his hit on Modano was a little high and a little late. The issue is not what he did to Modano, but the sucker punch he delivered to Robidas. It was vicious ala Domi on Samuelsson and deserves a 10 game stint in the sin bin. Nothing that happened before or after that act came close to it.
On a separate note, how some of you can talk smack about a 500 goal guy who still outskates 95% of the league at the age of 36 is amazing to me.

DUDE HOW COULD U MISPELL HIS NAME!? ITS MODANO NOT madanoTHE person ahead of me doesnt know what he's talking about because 1st robidas didnt actauly get to hit tootoo and modano just took the lead in the most goals scored by an american born player (503) I think tootoo sholud be fined and suspended for 2 games after hurting robidas and for going after modano
i cant belive robidas got a chargin for that.

Tootoo should get a roughing penalty for the Mike Modano check.
The guy that checked Tootoo should get a crosschecking penalty and Tootoo should get a roughing penalty for punching the guy.
