What I mean is, in moments of being extremely happy and excited is it better to keep yourself cool so you won't feel down afterwords?

I disagree - live in the moment, this is the only life you have. However, don't expect every moment of your life to be exciting either. Feeling down afterwords just means you wanted more of that feeling. Kinda like a high. Don't get addicted to it.

Of course not!! Those are the moments we all dream about and work toward. Let yourself go when you are happy!!Everyone else will shout with you!! Never even think of limiting, or putting a damper on, the amount of excitement and joy you get from this life!! It will help you remember all the special times!!

Happiness is something you make for yourself, so don't limit it if you're feeling good. It's not like oil or something in short supply. Your feelings just go up and down, so feel what you feel when you feel it. And be sure to express how you feel as well, to remain emotionally healthy. =D
