I hear a lot about how Hollister is expensive but everytime i shop there, there are shirts that are 15 bucks, 20 bucks, and 30 bucks. Same goes for the jeans and skirts. Sure there are some things with higher prices but there are also CHEAPER items with prices pretty much the same or cheaper than any other store. My parents afford for me to shop there and I am not "rich". SO why do people complain about the price when it's not even a problem?

I think everyone has different opinions of "expensive." I agree that Hollister is one of the cheaper stores I shop at. Forever 21 might be cheaper in some things, but I don't think their clothes are as good of quality. So it really depends on what you are personally willing to spend.

I'm at the mall constantly, and I shop there a lot. I have the skirts, jeans, and shirts. I can't see why they say it is expensive......but I do know this, some parents make small pay, or simply are too embarassed to admit to that. I am not rich either. But, some are not so lucky.

Some peoples parents dont pay for their clothes and they have to get them themselves and cant afford those prices, and there are stores like forever 21 where stuff is about half the price of hollister stuff. Just depends on the individuals budget and what they think clothes should cost

i have no idea. i love the clothes at hollister and i think they are so cute. there are a few things that are a little expensive like i bought a coat for $110. but it was so cute and totally worth the money.
i think people should just shop where they want to and stop commenting about places that they probably wanna shop at anyway!!
wearing hollister makes you look hot!!!!!!

it really depends on who u r talking to like if they are 'rich' or not and what the prices of the stores they usually shop in are...if those stores prices are a lot lower hollisters will look like "expensive" items

Well, your typical t-shirt anywhere else costs about $10... that's a third of the price.
Also, Hollister does not really sell practical clothing, it sells trendy clothing. just look at the pre-torn jeans...
Practical clothing costs about the same amount, but lasts longer then you'll fit inside it, which is great for siblings, ect. Getting one outfit isn't that expensive, but the people who tend to shop there get a lot of them, whereas the people who shot at say, Columbia get outfits only a few times a year. That creates a huge difference in total cost.

i agree! Its not that bad if you look for good things! They have great sales for the same price and their clothes last a really long time compared to others for the same price. I guess people think its the same price as abercrombie or expect clothes to cost 5 dollars

I have no idea, but i agree with you 100% it is cheap and i am not rich either. and those people below me saying hollister clothes make you look like a dike, and that their stuff is so tiny it makes your chest look big, and that girl saying why dont you put yourself in other peoples shoes and not everyone has $24 to spend all need to shut the hell up keep it all to yourself.

Well, Some people dont buy close for those prices. I mean they can afford it but they think its stupid. I like buy expenisve stuff thats worth it. I mean all those Forever21 stuff are like disposable clothes to me. I wear them like 4 times and I never want to wear them again. They do have some expensive stuff and cheap stuff it all depends.

i know what you mean. most of my stuff is from there and it makes people assume im "rich", but that isnt the case at all. their clearance stuff is sold for anywhere between 9 and 30 dollars, so how is that expensive? yes - there are stores that are cheaper, but then again there are stores that cost way more then hollister.
