I have a follow up question about your answer to my last question http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlJJ9IEya05.bsjcwYzlf_rAFQx.?qid=20070318172347AA2Q3OZ , but you don't allow emails. Of course, I welcome anyone else's insights as well.

"equality is great, but tryannical women who try to make women out to be better then men is wrong. they are without a doubt different, but the differences are neccessery and equal in value. feminists deny there is such thing as gender and try to act as men themselves."

Alright, I can agree that there are differences in gender, and that none of those differences makes anyone less. Even that there is value in some of those differences.

My question is in your very last comment. In what way do feminists offend you by acting like men? How exactly does a man act, that should not be copied by a woman?

Thanks, if you choose to answer!

How typical is it, that I'd ask a question moments after someone leaves for good. The story of my life.

Anyway, I never suggested he needed psychiatric help because people may disagree with him.

Even in his answer to this question, mr q failed to actually give you an answer! Instead, he just went on an unresearched rant. In what way do feminists offend him by acting like men? Well, we still don't know because he didn't answer the question. He just gave a bunch of unresearched reasons feminists are "ridiculous."

I wonder if he is aware that almost everything he said about feminists is untrue. Perhaps he's just another one of those people who don't research anything, who let the media tell them everything that's "true."

Don't let any of his answers get you flustered. It seems that the people who hate feminism so much are the people who have never researched what it stands for. These are the people who only think what the media tells them to think. Such weak minded people can't even make solid arguments, much less back them up with facts.

At least he's done with Women's Studies. I think all those angry people in this section who don't really care about women's issues should leave with him. Good riddance.

Men act in a dominant manner because this is what they have been taught by a patriarchal society which favours that sex. What is interesting is that standards that are used for hiring practises based on strength are based on male values. When they are changes to reflect female values men claim they are being discriminated against. Women are fighting a system that has been designed against them by men. Males have made all the rules for almost thousands of years and now any attempt by females to change this axis of power is viewed as an assault on the values of society. Women who agree to this have simply internalized this oppression and have thus accustomed their thinking to the systemic discrimination which is rampant.
Any woman who dares to disagree is immediately labelled a man hater, lesbian, and other petty insults aimed at undermining her credibility.
Thanks for addressing these imbalances of power.

ok fine i'll answer your question as my last in this section.

there are traits that nature intended. thats why there are females and males. both with distinct traits. the female is naturaly better at nurturing and caring for the young and is naturaly more feminine. where as a man is more masculine and protects and needs to feel like a man.

alot of feminists act like men because alot of them go so far as to not wear bras, they dont shave there legs or underarms etc. and they challenge men as the "breadwinner" which is a stupid term to make it sound as if the "breadwinner" means that they are the better person. they also challenge masculinity by deliberately going out of there way to out do the male in masculinity. just out of spite. its like a man trying to nurtue his kids alone. it would be badly falwed as no man could ever have that tender nurturing as a female could provide. while the male is indeed capable of nurturing, it is not the same.

as far as gender roles go, i think they are rediculous. if a woman wants to work or be a saty at home wife then its fine either way. gender roles were established during a time when men felt superior to women. and as society started to form they immediately noticed the natural differences in both men and women. and they decided if thats how women act then they should only be allowed to do this and that. which is stupid. women should be proud to be women not angry they are not men. both genders are different. neither is superior, because one without the other will fall. feminism denies this and make women feel as if they should play both man AND woman. but if a man wants to be a man then he is labeled as an opressor and chauvonistic. but its okay for women to do that because they are the victims.

and perfect example of the way feminists act is the way "baba yaga" does. she absolutely despises men for whatever reason. she is quite easy to spot as she ridicules men calling them "cranks" and narcissists that cant stand strong women. but in reality that is not the case.

by no ability stop looking. Mr. Q has as lots of undertaking as all human beings else at looking love. Love is harsh even with the undeniable fact that it supplies mercy if ur prepared to cope with the discomfort it supplies. Cuz there is often discomfort.

I agree with Robinson.

Equality? It depend if your a Feminist or not a Feminist, real men do not want women acting like men. T

There already is that. It's called Homosexual and most men don't want that.

Men, want women who are feminine and act like women.

It's annoying that feminists act like men because they think the can do anything better than men.

Mr Q said he was finished with Women's Studies, but I'll try to explain for him:

He was probably referring to women trying to take the place of men in their dress, hairstyles, rude mannerisms and obsession over the workplace instead of the family (a typical butch feminist picture, basically).

Mr Q probably just believes men and women have certain roles to fulfill, doesn't believe either to be more important or superior to the other, and figures that women and men should partake in certain behaviors and act in certain ways specific to their gender.

Maybe he's right, maybe he's wrong; I sure as hell don't think he needs a psychiatrist just because someone disagrees with him.

I think that if he leaves, it's one less silly, uninformed person to deal with on Women's Studies.
May he not reincarnate.
Good luck
