I had two guinea pigs, but one passed away recently, and now the other is so sad. She looks around for Midnight, and she has a sad squeak. What do I do?? I heard somewhere animals can die from depression, and I can't afford to lose her.

the vet said Midnight was like her sister.

spend more time with her. Do you know what Midnight died of? check that your other guinea pig is not suffering from the same thing. I would also (if it is possible) suggest you get her a new companion, guinea pigs are social animals, and another friend could cheer her up.

Talk to her and let her know that someone loves her. Give her treats and stuff like that. Also, get a new guinea pig. If you have something that Midnight used like a piece of blanket or something then rub the new guinea pig down with it. If not, take some of the bedding and do the same thing. That way, she will smell "right."

She needs another Guinea Pig friend! Imagine if someone you loved passed away, you would want someone to be with, that's what a new guinea pig will do.

Buy her a new cagemate. She probably just misses the companionship,
