I'm thinking of selling my palm T|X and buying a treo so i won't have to carry both a cell phone and a PDA.
i have about $140 without selling the T|X, which is in decent condition.
i would sell it with a rhinoskin hard case and possibly a 512mb SD card.
what is the best treo(or other smartphone) i could get with the likely proceeds of selling the T|X?

I had the Treo 300, then the Treo 600. Then when I got ready for the big change again. I spent two months researching. I got the Spring PPC-6700. It was $200 after rebates vs the $400 on the Treo 700. Besides, the size and the PPC screen is not good outdoors, they are about the same. I look at the Windows versions of both phones and everything was identical except the price. You would think for the extra money it would be twice as good Nope. Go and check out the phones companies as they are cheaper sometimes than the stores.

Money wise the PPC will be closer to what you can get. Make sure you GET insurance. The first one the touchscreen did not work. I took it back and they gave me another phone WITH the box and accessories. I now have a total of THREE boxes with accessories so if I sell mine, I will be able to get a good price.

Anyway, there is also the blackberry too, i think, but I know I ended up with these two to company and made my choice.

Make sure you syncy your programs from the PDA so you can transfer them to the new phone. IF you buy the PPC, let me know and I got some good tips for ya too. I am single, so I cancelled ATT home phone and ATT home phone dialup internet. Then using my phone as a modem, then after two years, I got the 10% discount, it amounted to like $4 more and the internet speed was from an average download speed of 2 Kb to 90Kbs, where I live at. If I was next to a hot spot it would be higher. You can do that with the Treo 700 too. The Treo 650 was like 10 Kbps download, the same speed as the Treo 600.
