I have the Motorola Q on the Sprint network. The build quality of the phone is very solid while also being very thin. Since it is a Windows Mobile Smartphone, it does not use a touchscreen (I have actually wanted a device without one); navigation is still very fast via shortcut buttons, d-pad, and scroll wheel. Web browsing is accomplished in Pocket Internet Explorer (keep in mind, it can browse most sites like you would at your computer, but cannot view Flash media like YouTube nor Java games.) Other browsers are available (such as Opera: www.opera.com ). Call audio quality is loud and clear; speakerphone accessible via a button. Bluetooth radio quality is very strong, which gives your clear conversations via a Bluetooth headset.

Now, with the Treo (I'll assume you mean the 700p?), you'll get a touchscreen (but you can still do many things without touching it) and a different OS. The main thing you should really do is check both models out in store; you will want to see the size difference plus get a feel for both operating systems. Keep in mind that since the Q is a thin phone, you may get less battery life on it than your current phone (extended battery is available, though).

I just bought the MotoQ today. I couldn't decide to get the Treo or the MotoQ either. Love the internet it's speed is good. Sound quality on phone calls is awesome. It's thin and light. The Treo seemed bulky to me and a bit more expensive for most of the same features as the Q. If its for leisure, like my reason, I'd stick with the Q. I can't imagine what else the Treo cant do that the Q can. check cnet.com and compare or sprint.com has a good "comparison tool". And the Moto Q is about $100-150 cheaper.

Yeah I just got one, I'm demoing it for my work. I like it, its smaller and more practical than a Treo or Blackberry, I like how it is Windows based and its got some cool features like Windows media, which makes getting media files very accessible. I'm not sure on the price, we're not selling them until next month, but I here they are supposed to be comparable to or maybe less than the Treo.
