I love your question and I hope you will 'respect' my response - not all would agree, especially from the perspective of where I am going. I believe that we are all given certain gifts, talents and anointings at our birth. I believe God has not favored one of us over the other, but that as we are placed in the bosoms of our mother, and given into the families of our heritage- we have our first start in life. Depending on what is inside of you and what your parents allow you to grow and develop into, you will find that place of purpose in your life. As you learn to read, walk, talk, and are exposed to other things in life (sports, music, art, dance, books, theatre, etc.) your innerman will gain satisfaction of what he enjoys and your nature will be guided to that which you like. Your assuredness comes with time, development of your talent, exposure and growth. Whatever your real purpose is, has to be something you really love to the core of your being. It will supercede money and all that comes with it - because what you love will not be factored 'first' by the money. ,.the money will come - it's the "work" that you find you love. (purpose) Once you have found it - nobody can take it from you. Example - when I was 5, I began to pick notes on my family's piano from songs I heard. Someone heard me and I began to take music lessons. I moved on at 12 to the organ. By the time I was 13 I was playing organ/piano and singing. I loved it. I began to hear music all the time. Lyrics, poems would pour out of me. Eventually, that love for music moved me into television, a singing career and teaching. My purpose was the love of music and how I could develop that. It turned into jobs for me all the time. When I sing (I have no idea) but I'm told that people are ministered and feel good. That's my purpose. My voice and my music is being used to minister truth and love to people. And for my efforts - I get paid handsomely. So, you see - you can find your purpose through prayer and evaluating your life and situation. Bless you as you find it and use it to God's glory.

Sit down and think on the nearest and most pressured thing for you to do "today". Does anybody in your surrounding need any help? Is an animal or a human being dependent on what you do? Is if you do "not" do this any harm to be expected?
This what you find out during your concentrated effort, is your "purpose" in your life right now.
You can be sure of it through either way, so in fulfilling it or not fulfilling it. If you fulfill your purpose you will spread some kind of blessing. (Have you fed your goldfish today?). If you do not do this somebody either yourself, or another or an animal will suffer. It is as such really simple.

You may never now, you may figure it out tomorrow. You might be completely sure of it, you might not even think its possible. You may not even have a purpose in life. I mean, we are not limited to being a certain thing. We are not like toasters, where we are made with a specified, very limited purpose. We are not just born with the purpose of making toast, or more humanly, being a garbage man, or being a bum, or being an actor, or getting people pregnant out of wedlock (there's this guy on my street that believes thats his purpose, he's got like 5 so far). So really, nobody has to have a purpose, nobody needs it, your purpose can be something you just draw up out of thin air, and it doesn't have to stick with you your whole life. I don't think I have a purpose, I just live my life and don't care.

Your purpose is the same as it is for everone, set a goal and work toward it. Hopefully the goal you set will ultimately add to the betterment of mankind. You can be sure you're on the right path when you realize you made a difference.

Depends upon your age, some of us don't figure this out for a while and some are never sure of it. Write down the pros and cons of things you think you might like to do and go from there.

Your real purpose is to take the best qualities in yourself and use them as much and as best you can. At least, that's what I think.

You have no purpose in life. You might die tomorrow.
You can figure out what you're good at. if you pick wrong, just try something else.
