I have just installed windows xp service poack 2 to my computer, as a new install, and I keep receiving all sorts of stop error messages this consist of... 0x00000050, 0x0000000a, 0xcdcdcdd3, etc. I have had more than those, so I did what some of them said, and upgraded from a 4GB hardrive, I have just added a 128mb video card today, and I can't get videos to play on my computer in any other way than a jittery fashion. I need some help here in what direction I can go in to fix my computer (and I know buying a new one would be easier, but I want to save this one as I have just put this money into it).

^^ This guy's answer was what popped into my head first. I'd reccomend at least 20gig hardrive using XP.

Also, since you just installed a video card, see the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers. This could account for jittery videos and no gameplay.

As for the errors, I suggest asking your friends for higher RAM sticks (People tend to have alot lying around these days) or buying a few (www.tigerdirect.com or ebay are great, cheap locations to find hardware upgrades.)

Best of luck

Hi. WinXP has the need for more resources (CPU speed, RAM, HD capacity, graphics card, etc.). If these are not met then things will be slow and the graphics not very smooth. Check what you have and see if it meets the minimums. Good luck! (The parts you put in can be moved to a newer, faster PC.)

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
