Ferret. they can actually love, and are so much more fun, and cute!

I would say ferret. Most people have no idea what the hey a sugar glider is and they won't know how to treat it. Also, ferrets are cooler.

i have owned 3 ferrets ond now currently own 2 i will never buy a ferret again the ones i have are cool as hell but they are way to hard to maintain. they have a strict diet need to be entertained daily need to be exercised daily you have to ferret proof your house cause they get into everything even if you think they cant they will they always do you actully do more work preparing the house for a ferret then a baby who is learning to walk i would go with the sugar glider anyday.

It depends on your level of patience. Sugar gliders are nocturnal and very, VERY active. They need a lot of space to live and play, and often come down with health issues that can be expensive to treat. They're fun pets though.
Ferrets are the more popular choice because they require less room, but that by no means makes them any less playful. I personally prefer ferrets because I think they're more fun. They're so inquisitive and funny to watch.

i say ferret c/ i had one growing up and they are so playful but they stink. and i dont even know what a sugar glider is.

ferret, bcuz:
they are friendly, funny, entertaining, cute, they bond great, and they are just all-around great pets!! i love them, and i read that they are the 3rd most popular pet in the U.S.
I absolutely adore ferrets!!
