i have never heard that rumor... i wouldnt know.. but i guess a lot of people might think preity and rani smoke because of their raspy voices.
mm shah rukh khan definitely smokes. that's the only celebrity i know that DEFINITELY smokes. i could hazard guesses at a lot more ppl but i dont know for definite.. like john abraham and dino morea and vivek oberoi.

i have a cousin who is a doctor and said that he has seen her when they were shooting KANK and met her and all and said she has all the symptoms of being a cocaine adict...not to be mean...he really likes her acting...hes heard rumors but he says she did have certain attribues that didn't make him think otherwise from what is being stated in rumors
