I was watching an episode of "Real Simple" on PBS and they were showing how green is a neutral so anyone can wear it. I think the color on your link is great! The amount of make-up the model has on is gross but the green itself is awesome! It would go really well w/the cute new retro 80s styles especially for spring/summer.
Your Mom may not like it because of the way it looks on the model. This color will be gorgeous when worn in a subtly on the lid or just along the lash-line (see link below for another subtle example).
I would think that as long as you don't get a color that is too dark that it would look fine. See if you can sample it someplace to find out what you think. Try out some different greens to find one that looks the best w/your hair/skin/eyes.
Be patient w/your Mom...I'm sure it's hard for her to see you looking even a little bit older, even if it is just due to make-up. Wearing it in a very subtle way will probably help her feel better!

Umm.... I'm sorry, but it is kind of oldish-looking. Green eyeshadow in general is kind of weird. The only good kinds are the ones with gold tints in them--especially the cream eyeshadows. Try Rimmel London All Day Wear Cream Eyeshadow in Icy, about $6 (http://www.ulta.com/control/product?FT22=2124238&product_id=VP00124&add_product_id=2101518&add_category_id=&variant_id=2124238&add_amount=&quantity=1 ).
Good luck persuading your mom!

From the point of view of a teenage boy, I'll tell you that ANY makeup on a 12 year old is not flattering. It does not make you look good, it makes you look desperate. do not wear makeup until 16- it looks trashy.

That's a really pretty color, but I am old fashioned like your mom. Maybe wait until you are like 14 to start wearing makeup. Once you start wearing it you have a whole life-time of it..........just my thought. Of course it's not the answer you wanted to hear. Sorry.

well I agree with your mom, and im only sixteen, that would be too dramatic for a twelve year old to wear and plus its true, no one looks that great in that eye shadow unless they've been professionally trained to put make up on. or if they're actresses and models. I say stick with natural colors.

From a boys point of veiw, don't put on Green make up. It will make you look skankinsh and whorey. And if I saw a girl with green eye shadow i would not be atracted to her. Do what ever you want.

while you're resourceful, i'm particular there are procedures you may get around that. Watch some old episodes of Gilmore women (the character Lane) you would comprehend what I propose. i admire how mothers and dads positioned those obnoxious regulations on their young ones and don't understand that it frequently has the opposie effect of what they try to do.

I bet you are beautiful just the way you are, don't go and hide your face behind that much makeup. Too much makeup makes girls look cheap, and only boys that want one thing like cheap girls. Maybe some blush and lip gloss and mascara would be nice

it's an unattractive green.
please realize that m.a.c. is trying to sell their ideas of colour..so of course they are going to show very exagerated eyeshadow colours.
unless you are walking down a runway...or are sitting for a photo shoot....it's usually best to leave those colours alone!
a pretty gold green khaki would look nicer!
