There's is not much wrong with Andy Rooney if you listen to his opinions on various things at the end of 60 Minutes which he joined in 1979 on CBS. He'a a dinasour in the world of jouranalism starting out as a talent scout for Arttur Gogfrey in 1949 & colabratting with the late Harry Reasoner of 60 minutes in the 60's, till he joined the cast in 1979 as a correspondent & now has his own segment "A FEW MINUTES With Andt Rooney." You may not agree with what he has to say, but it is always an interesting topic from his take on those annoying relatives we all have, those useless Christmas gifts we receive To his opinion of Gibson's 2004 Movie 'The Passion Of The Christ where many people considered him to be an atheist for writing that opinion.
Andy Rooney was one of six correspondents who was flying with Eight Air Force on the first American Bombing over Germany oin 1943. He was also one of the first Journalists/correspondents to visit a concentration camp.
LOVE HIM or HATE HIM>>>>He does bring things into perspective on most of his subjects at the end of 60 minutes.
I get a kick out of him, as he says it like it is, no beating about the bush....Good-Night>>>> REBELCAT:****

he's what they used to call a crumudgen. That means old, grumpy, settled in his ways, one sided, uneducated, unread, misrible, nasty, crusty, dusty and lots of stuff I can't even say here. He at one time was at least sensible. Now he is just there, week after painful week, until he dies or retires. I would bet he dies before he retires from this gig.
why is he still on the air, the people who like him are the ones who pay his salary. And he does say a lot of stuff older people believe if they are not enlightened or educated.
he is just an old bigot. Watch something else on sundays. he sucks. (can I say sucks here?)

Back when I had TV (I gave it up long ago) I used to turn on 60 Minutes near the end just to watch Rooney. Ya gotta love the guy! His books are almost as good as his monologues...if ya read them in his voice!

That's funny. People have been complaining about him for years! He gets about a million $$ to do what he does. What ever that is.
