You can get a ticket . Depending on the state you live in...it may just be a ticket for the noise...or it may be completely illegal to run a car without a muffler.

depending on where you live will determine the offense you committed, in some areas they have a emissions standard that you need to maintain your vehicle at and they could make you quit driving the car until it was fixed. In other areas you may get a repair and report ticket. either way you need to put the exhaust on the car. it is also better for the car as the engine was designed to have an exhaust system.
