you don't do anything, it's HER body. She can wax or shave the hair if she chooses to, but it is not a requirement.

It could be she has a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). One of the symptoms is hirsutism (excessive hair) and is caused by a hormone imbalance involving a high level of androgens and insulin resistance. PCOS can be diet controlled which will cause the hair to be less noticeable or go away completely. Hair growth varies depending on the severity of the disease and genetics, but most women with PCOS have it on their face as well.

If she has some other symptoms, such as irregular periods or none at all, hair loss from the scalp, acne, oily skin, depression or mood swings, weight gain, inability to become pregnant, high blood pressure, or sleep apnea, she may have PCOS and needs to see an endrocrinologist. She may have some or all of these symptoms.

Some early research has been done showing that drinking Spearmint tea lessens the hair growth and causes the androgen level to go down, but there was no long term results for the study.

Laser hair removal has become rather affordable and is more permanent than any other treatment, so if she doesn't have PCOS, this would be her best route. If she does have PCOS, she has to get control of it before having laser hair removal, otherwise, it'll all grow right back due to the ongoing hormonal imbalance. Your friend can reasearch PCOS online through WebMd or Google if she thinks she may have it, but it's totally up to her. If she's ok with the hair growth, there's nothing much you can do about it. Hope this helped!

YOU don't do anything about it. Next thing to ask is what your friend feels about it. Does it bother her or not? If it doesn't then move on. Let her deal with it. If it does bother her, then there are things that can be done ranging from shave, waxing, electrolysis, laser, hair removal creams, bleaching, etc.

We all have hair on our bodies and it is entirely up to your friend on what to do with it. I personally don't care about hair on my arms or my legs, or my underarms. etc. I was born with it. Big deal. I am italian and come from a very hairy family. It is life.

I don't get why people want no hair on their arms. I think people look strange and unnatural when they take that off. But the stomach thing depending on how much and what color can be an embarassment. I have had mine treated with laser. While I still have some, it is not as noticeable to me and not a bother.

Is she Persian or Indian or some nationality that has thick, dark hair in these areas? She may try bleaching the hair. If she shaves it, she's going to have stubble which will look ridiculous. Waxing is a better alternative, but if she just wants to lighten the color of the hair, I'd have it bleached.
Most of the nail salons will do waxing at a reasonable price (less than a hair salon or a spa)

Everyone is different,Some have more hair on those area then most but there are things you can do.Nair hair removal cream would be good to do on the stomach but I wouldn't recommend using that on the arms,I'd leave that alone unless it's really bothering this girl, then have her ask her doctor.Try the Nair on the tummy area.Hope this helps!

Most of us do have fine light hair on our arms and belly. If its very dark and coarse ,she can if she wants to,have that treated by a Dermatologist etc. There are several condition's that are medical and hormone related, that can be treated etc.Nothing you can "do" about it,except remain her friend, and not cause her embarrassment, she knows it's there.Take care. We were born with hair.......it's not a bad thing to have.

But if it bothers her and if she is concerned with being socially acceptable, go with her to get a good wax job.
