I've been listening to country music for a long time and have branched out into the many genres of country so it's kind of hard to really say....:-)
One of my favorite of all time actually is a few songs by Earl Thomas Conley who was a big artist in the 1980s with songs like "Honor Bound", "once in a blue moon", "that was a close one", and "what I'd Say"..... Twenty years later most of this could be played on a station and people would think it was new...
I also like Texas country such as Randy rogers and jason Boland.. but most of those songs I like are kind of obscure...
Right now my favorite song has to be Jason Aldean's "Johnny Cash" however

I'm not a big country fan but one song i like is that song who you'd be today
it always makes me cry because it makes me think about a dear friend that died young and i often wonder what she'd be doing if she were alive, what college would she go to and stuff like that

OOOH, I'm also a Tim fan, although I'm hardly a country fan... but I really, really love 'Where the Green Grass Grows'. Such a great song. And also Martina McBride's 'Broken Wing' is really good.
