I need to do a creative project for class, it can be anything poster, song, collage etc. It is going to be portraying a family coping with a chronic illness I can't think of what to do, does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm a big fan of collage work, myself. I clip magazine pictures or print pictures off the internet and mix them with my own drawings/paintings and then coat it all with acrylic gloss or matte medium to preserve it. It'd be especially poignant if you added a poem, a quote or song lyrics to the collage. Something worded to match the sadness of the topic.

Well if your going to do a project on that I might suggest a poster for it with someone sitting in a wheelcar of in a hospital bed looking very sick. but make sure the picture is in black and white as the mood created by that is alot more effective, and then you can have a saying that says major illnesses shouldn't be dealt with alone, and then under it have another saying that says family, they are there for the long run.

its just a thought and hopefully it helps you out.

Has anyone in your family ever suffered from a chronic illness, if so then there is your beginning. Talk to them and then do the research about the illness. There is a website called WebMD that has a wealth of knowledge on medical problems and issues. I hope this has been of some benefit to you.

I would almost think that you would have to pinpoint what chronic illness you're dealing with before you can plan your project. Do a bit of research on the illness, and maybe you can get some perspective.`
Good luck. Getting started is always the hardest part.

you could create a notebook dedicated to that person. it could be a collage notebook. each page or so can be represented by a person in the family; you could use different motifs and symbols to express their feelings. me and some friends did this for a friend that died and gave it to the family, it was very full-filling and gave great closure and a nice way to say goodbye.
