i would clean them with alcohol twice a day for a couple weeks, and then once a day after that for a few months. i know its hard to keep cleaning it for months,
but you have to if if yu dont want it to hurt and puss.

also, you have to keep that same earring that u used to pierce your ears for 5 weeks. after that, you can take the earring out and change it if you want, but make sure that you do it quickly so the hole won't close up.
after about 3 months, you can stop cleaning your ear every day. you can just clean it every once in a while if it hurts or is has puss.

IGNORE everyone who is telling you to put rubbing alcohol on it - you'll only irritate and dry out your piercing that way!

The best way to clean your piercing is to mix 1/4 tablespoon of salt (sea or regular, can be purchased at any grocery store) with 8 ounces of warm water. You can use a plastic cup and hold it on your ear. Hold it in place for two minutes, then rinse.

If you suspect an infection has already started, rub a small amount of Neosporin on the area and leave on for one hour - putting gunk on there for much longer (or not rinsing it off at all) will not allow your piercing to drain, thereby causing greater infection.

Lastly, and I'm pretty sure I don't have to tell you this - please get it done by a professional next time! It might be more expensive, but they adhere to stringent anti-infection controls - it's worth the extra $10!

Check out www.bmezine.com for more information on piercings, and to ask the experts there any further questions you may have.

ALSO - do not rotate the ring all the time! The less you move the jewelry, the faster it will heal. Make sure your hands are washed anytime you touch the piercing, and that any hair products (shampoo, gel, etc.) are rinsed away if they happen to get on it.

Getting it pierced like that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. Clean it and the holes two or three times a day with alcohol or peroxide. I wouldn't change earrings for six months or so, that makes sure that the holes wont close up. Rotate the earring when you clean it. I haven't had an earring stabbed through my ear...but I'd be careful.

Okay. Find one of your friends who is a girl, and ask them to go to Claire's (a young girls' accessory shop that also pierces ears for free--which you should have done, but, well, things in the past are in the past). Have them buy a bottle of that Ear Care stuff. When you get it, put a dab on a cotton ball, take out your earrings, and press the cotton ball against your ear holes. You'll probably need to do it every other day for at least 1 month.

Good luck with your ears!

well first of all, that probably wasnt a great idea, w/ the whole stabbing thru thing. use peroxide twice a day on the front and back, if it starts to get worse than use bacitracin (antibiotics) and rubbing alchohol, also if you go to a piercing place u can buy special stuff to clean it with.

I would use alcohol first, and then dab some neosporin on it if you have it. Peroxide should work just as well as alcohol. Make sure you twist the earring around so it doesn`t close up. Also, don`t put the back on too tight. That can cause infection, make sure it`s loose, but not so loose that it will fall off.

Get a bottle of Bactine and clean it 1-2 times a day.

Next time be smart and go to a professional.

Get a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Swab your ear with it three times a day. Also, rotate your earring a little bit each time you do it. You should do this for about six weeks. Make sure you keep the same earring in for this whole time. Also, whenever you change earrings, make sure to dip the new earring (and the backing!) into rubbing alcohol first. This sterilizes it.

You need to be putting peroxide on your ears and earrings. Will kill the bacteria...good luck.
If it still feels infected...put some neosporin cream on it. But yes...clean it every day.
