I've read far too many that were 'so-so'. What topics would be of great interest to you? How CEO's are lost or write a lesson CEO's can learn from? How incompetence is invading industry? Why businesses are failing?

To add - I know what subjects I'd like to cover and most likely will; was simply asking to see if it sparked any additional ideas or might put a bend on a subject I'm already including

To me the whole concept of “off-shore outsourcing” is a major issue for US and Western European business. In the short term it definitely improves the bottom line performance of a business. However long term it seems completely un-tenable. This is a topic broad enough for several books. But is it a major subject that I would like to know more about.

Some specific areas around this subject that I find intriguing are
* Theft of intellectual property, through differences in IP law (Fusion Systems is an example that comes to my mind).
* Government subsidies of strategic industries
* Corporate controlled trade barriers (ie Kieretsu trading companies barring access to the Japanese markets)
* The existence of Monopolies, and the distinctions each country makes regarding predatory business practices.
* The use of coerced labor (ala Chinese labor camps)
* The unequal use of bribes to sustain business contracts
* Unequal environmental policies - and their influence on business and the health of exposed populations.
* The socialization “theif’ of privately controlled business assets. (ala Venezuela)
* The thief of social assets when countries privatize assets (ala Gazprom)

All these are great issues, that I’d like to read more about.
