I'm an attractive 5'6" 122 lbs. Swedish/ German girl with blue- green eyes and dirty blonde hair who likes to hang out with my black friend who is around my height and weight with light brown eyes, long thick black/brown hair, very shapely, and outgoing and she gets all the attention when we go out. I thought we were both on the same level of attractiveness but I don't feel that way when she gets all the compliments from guys and girls. I feel ignored most of the time. I feel bad because lately I've been avoiding going places w/ her because I feel somewhat insecure and i'm afraid this may ruin our friendship.
She is such a beautiful girl on the inside as well as the outside and she has helped me w/ alot of my problems and I don't want to feel this way anymore.
What to do ?

Soak up the sunshine from being around this extraordinary friend and learn from her if you can. Even you who likes her and carries some jealousy can't stop talking about her being great from inside out! It isn't the black.....It's the girl! Relax and learn. There will always be people who are better than you at times in things you are not sure about. It's only attitude! And the confidence that goes easy for some and less for others can be overcome by watching a natural do it and learning. Don't be jealous, pick up on it...this is how you learn!

Don't feel bad. It could just be the location you're in. If there's a lot more white women than black in your area, your friend will just stand out more and naturally draw more attention. However, it could work in reverse as well. Really, a lot of it depends on where you are, not just how you look.
If you lived in my area, chances are I'd check both of you out equally 'cause that's the type of place I live - a lot of diversity.

i'm a white individual and that i do no longer "consistently communicate approximately black people's noses" and can't think of of all and sundry i comprehend who does. Frankly, i do no longer care what you look like. you would be high quality with me in case you weren't so damaging.

You should wanna be around a person with that type of glow.
You should quit worrying about who's getting all the attention and do you. Youre letting that be your stumbling block and it's just gonna make you bitter.

Because dark chocolate tastes better than white chocolate...I'm joking...You are the company you keep, which means you are the same as her, but I don't think you know it. Get over it and have fun with her after all, she deserves it she has been there for you.

You feel ignored because you let yourself fell and become ignored. Dont try to be like her, because you can only be yourself....Here is some advice, do not let your jealously and envy ruin your friendship. Respect her differences and know yours..thats what makes you you!!!

It sounds like you may have alittle harmless jealousy going on.
Does she exclude you when she gets this attention ?
Maybe it's just your paranoia.......don't let this ruin a good friendship though...do a reality check...take a yoga class.

emulate her, hon! I don't think that she will really mind! :)

Besides, confidence is KEY!

Get all "dolled-up" then walk with a little swing to your steps! now, that oughta do the trick! :)

I hate to say I agree with Rostov. I bet he is right. If you are hanging out where there are mostly white guys, or a mix then she will get all the attention because they probably see hot white chicks all the time, but a hot black chick is a novelty.

If you go to a black hood, or to a black party it will be you who is the novelty.
