Have any of you heard if Jardin Tootoo of the Predators has or will receive any kind of fine or suspension for his hit on the Stars Stephane Robidias? I watched the game and thought it was a cheap shot personally. How many of you that also saw the game think it was a cheap shot? How many of you think he should receive some kind of punishment and what kind do you think?

To the guy before me... Robidas and Tootoo are pretty even, Tootoo's a little heavier and Robidas is a little taller. ALL players know that if you hit the best guy on the other team, you're gonna get it back. Tootoo was ready and turned around to sucker punch Robidas. That's not defensive, that's all out offense.

According to the announcers of tonight's game (Coyotes at Stars) on Center Ice, who were the Phoenix guys, it was a cheap shot and that the league was looking into a suspension. I watched the whole game (sometimes you need to know how the game was being played to judge something like this) last night and I agree that it was a cheap shot.

And actually, they should look at Modan's slash of Tootoo right after the did that to Robidas, it was a nasty slash across the back.

Tootoo's surely hit replaced into sparkling, yet he took too many strides to get there IMO. even as someone got here to Modano's aide (he's the celeb on the Dallas crew) somewhat of tying up the guy Tootoo sucker punched him. i have considered no information that they could have fought in any respect. If Tootoo were a real guy and bada** he doesn't have had to sucker punched him. If Tootoo were a real guy he ought to are transforming into no longer something, or maximium 5 min struggling with penalty somewhat of a 5 sport suspension.

There is no way Tootoo walks away without a suspension. What he did was brutal and the league has had too many vicious incidents in too short a time to let this one slide.

The NHL has its very credibility on the line when guys are being taken off on stretchers as a result of blatant, illegal, violent behavior. How the league reacts will be very telling, particularly after Simon was made an example of just a week ago.

It was defiantly a cheap shot... Robidias was never expecting to get punched... there's no honor in that.

The players have a code: every player has the ability to cheap-shot any other with an unexpected punch or swing of the stick at any time causing serious injury. 99% of them are sportsman like enough not to do it. Tootoo isn't. He has a long history of cheap shots. I hope he gets 10 games.

Tootoo is on borrowed time. Someone will end his career if the NHL or his lack of talent doesn't do it first. My guess is that he will be done shortly after the instigator rule changes again.

Tootoo's a wuss. If he laid Robi out after dropping gloves and squaring off, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. But he didn't. He pulled a Pearl Harbor. He will get his... and I hope it's in Dallas.

Nashville fans are punks, too. They deserve Tootoo, and he deserves them.

Nope, If a 200lb guy is skating at you at 20 mph looking to take you out.

a) What are you gonna do?
Answer: The same thing Tootoo did

b) Because he was skating at him so fast the punch was magnified. Force=Mass*Acceleration. Faster you go the harder its gonna hit you.

Tootoo was really just protecting himself.

Its hockey.

Definite sucker punch. He should get 2 games for that one. What about Modano's slash? That deserves to be looked at too.

If the refs missed it, or if it was legal, there is no chance. Suspensions are very rare. Cheap shots are common. Cheap shots are not always against the rule. You'll live.

the NHL if F-ed up!

People make cheap shots like that and they never do any thing about it.

Don't get me wrong, I love hockey, but they just let every thing go.
