I want to back up my music collection to an external hard drive, to save space on my PC. If i put the music in a ZIP folder will it loose its quality when i unzip the file at a later time?

zip won't mess with yer quality i would download winrar to make the even smaller and they give you a free trial too.
winrar is better for trying to save space and it works with zip files too

no! all a zip file does is breaks the song down andstores the data that is required! and when you unzip it, it puts the song back together! hard to explain. that is the easiest i can explain!
