He's almost a year old, he always eats his food and he seems really healthy and it's just that he's the only fish in the tank to just always be over there.

The tank might be a bit cool for him. Make sure it's in the mid 70's. Also, guppies to like to have other fish areound them so you may think about adding another male or two to the tank.

If he's hanging out by the heater, he's probably cold. Guppies need it pretty warm, about 78-80°. Turn up the heat if it is under 76°.

Guppies are community there needs to be about 3 and maybe he likes warmer water(??)

Check the tempearture of the water if it is lower than 65 degrees than something needs to be done!

he might be getting bullied and feels safe there. perhaps u can buy him a sweater?
