I know that for abnormal sized envelopes you need to apply more postage to the envelope. What about a small sized envelope? I have some really cute cards and the envelopes are the size of an index card... will a normal stamp do it or do I need more? I don't want to send my friends the cards, only to have the post office charge them extra postage upon receipt. Thanks!

39 cents will do. The issue with size is that the USPS will not accept items smaller than a certain size. Extremely small items tend to be lost or destroyed in the machinery.

confident, you're able to try this as long because of the fact the stamps are a minimum of the equivalent of the postage due. once you're below, it gets sent back to you, so over-estimate the fee. I try this each and all of the time and this is not a project.
