There's white chocolate, too. I think Ray Nagin would just like for the government to help rebuild New Orleans being that Fema and this government failed them miserably. And I think Obama just pretty much would like a shot at putting this country in a different direction. Definately something it needs and wants according to all the poll figures I'm reading.

This is for bamafan okay what part dont u understand MOST OF THOSE PPL HAD NO MEANS TO EVACUATE THE WERE LIVING IN THE POOREST PART OF THE STATE? If FEMA and the orginizations would have had set up some type of transportation to help them evacuate before hand dont u think they would have? Its not like they could have caught a flight n flown to the Bahamas, those wise decision makers knew what the economic conditions of those persons were they were freakin POOR, they had no means bus, boat whatever the transportation situation was THEY DIDNT HAVE IT n for the president not to move for THREE, FOUR,FIVE DAYS was absurd n no I dont support the DEMORATS NEITHER so dont take this as a bush bashing its stating the facts. Back to the question Obama is in a difficult situation this country needs a different direction n maybe one that he can give, unfortunately being a man of color he would inevitably have to worry about his safety for all the hate mongers that r still prevalent in this great country. I wish him all the best

This is really to take a shot at what lettie d said.

What about mandatory evacuation do you not understand? The people were told that they MUST evacuate because rescue would probably not get to them for several days. What in that statement do you not understand? According to the federal law (a liberal passed law) FEMA is to be used AFTER a natural disaster. Did you get the word AFTER. If FEMA had gone in early and been destroyed too, you liberals would be wanting to lynch Bush in the street. Then when the people went in to rescue the survivors, some of them shot at the rescuers, causing them to have to wait on the police that quit and abandoned the city. There were plans proposed to help save the majority of the city by building walls and putting in mobile gates, but your chocolate loving mayor said that would ugly up his city. His choice and his fault.

It truthfully did no longer help the city's image. i do no longer probably think of it affected tourism, as tourism in New Orleans is slowly build up lower back, and this is been lengthy adequate now I heavily doubt any white persons outdoors New Orleans think of roughly that remark and picture two times till now coming to New Orleans. It surely replace into no longer a great factor; Nagin has a habit of sticking his foot in his mouth and working his mouth without questioning. So, no, that assertion some chocolate city isn't a ingredient with outsiders now; it replace into in elementary terms a ingredient with the white persons who stay in New Orleans--it replace into particularly an insult to us and truthfully did no longer endear Nagin to any white persons. There are no longer that many people in New Orleans now who help Nagin. he's replace right into a loose cannon and isn't around while people desire to work out or refer to him.

Ray Nagin isn't as bad as David Duke. I'm a northern white woman who has lived in the south also. Believe me, bigotry is still very much alive on both sides of the fence. I was really hoping that it would be wiped out in my lifetime. To bad, I won't live to see 200. :)
I think Obama deserves a chance to run and win if it turns out he is the better canidate.
