If you're talking football, then please see the BCS Championship Game. If you mean basketball, go to the right category.
Cheers!

Most TV personalities hate the BIG 10 (the oldest college athletic conference in the U.S.). There might be a team or two in the Big 10 they like or can tolerate but for the most part they hate the Big 10. The Big 10 has been a very prominent Conference throughout college sports history. But most also seem to hate OSU slightly more. One reason is because Big 10 style of sports is tough and hard nosed, in basketball AND football. Ill give you some OSU facts and im comparing them to Florida just to put a few gator fans in there place.
And as for OSU vs Florida
Florida Football
7 SEC Championships
2 National Championships
2 Heisman Winners
Ohio State Football
31 Big 10 Championships
7 National Championships (4 consesus and 3 officially recognized)
7 Heisman winners (including the only 2 time winner Archie Griffin)
128 All Americans
Florida Basketball
4 SEC Championships
12 NCAA Tournament appearances
Ohio State Basketball
23 First Team All-Americans
1960-1964 5 straight big 10 championships, something never done by anyone else and in 5 years OSU already has Floridas total beat, enough said.
So to show a little class (something i wouldnt expect to get from most) we will give Gator fans their year of joy, but to even attempt to compare Florida to The Ohio State University is pointless. Floridas success is but a mere flash in the pan compared to the success Ohio State has had continually throughout history.
O and i just thought i would also put out there, if you get bored with those facts look at the Olympians that OSU has put out (Jesse Owens for starters) and compare them to Floridas.

Good question.
For some reason, the sports teams in Ohio just never get any respect. Whether it's Ohio State college teams, or the Cavaliers in pro basketball, or the Indians in pro baseball.
All baseball season, all we ever hear about is the Yankees, even when they are not good. And during football season, all we ever hear about is the Cowboys, even when they are not good.
It's about time that the sports teams in Ohio ( college and professional ) started getting some respect.

I dont know. A few weeks after Florida lost its #1 rank and Ohio State took it over, the people on ESPN would still say "the defending champions, and top ranked Florida". Even when they were not #1 in any poll. I dont know why all the ESPN guys hate OSU. This question should be in Basketball though.
GO BUCKEYES!

I know and it really bugs me, in football and basketball. It hilarious how before the NCAA tourney started they were all like "Georgetown and Florida are the hottest teams" while OSU was riding a 17 game win streak at the time.

Also who have they lost too: let's see UNC, Fla., and Wisc. All three teams where #1 at one point during the season, and all of them were when Oden was playing with his bad hand. Most people just hate on OSU.

Oh yes, thank you for bringing this up. It is a constant issue during the football season. They all hate us when were down and love us when were winning and claim that they knew it was in us all along...
I hate commentators... except Clark Kellogg and Kirk Herbstreit...Go Bucks!

I am pretty sure this is a Football catagory, and if you are talking about football, I am pretty sure Ohio State got it handed to them in the BCS Championship.
