well actually nothing..!! if ur getting a good signal and its not an encrypted network then nothing... but keep ur antivirus and internet security always on just in case someone on the network tried to send u trojan or any other spyware ...i use norton..its ok..

It depends if it is password protected or not.

If the person set up his WEP or WPA2 correctly, you cannot get on without the passwords.

If he hasn't protected his network, he is considered a "Hotspot." Even though it is illegal to use his connection, people will do so. It is not easy to detect until there is a bandwidth drain, or if the person is trying to do something illegal, such as spreading viruses.

There no law of trouble to connect with it. But the person that owns that connection will see your computer connected and may take you off. If it is locked it will ask you for a code.

realistically nothing. Its actually against the law to use someone else's wireless network without their knowledge.
