I just saw the movie and I want to know where I can find what really is fictional and what is factual? Is that story about the diamond necklace factual? Is there a website talking about what is fact and what is fiction? Thanks.

Well the necklace is real. It is called the heart of the ocean but they got the story wrong. They say in the movie 'Now it would be worth more than the hope diamond'. It was in fact the hope diamond. And it didnt go down with the ship. Just like the paintings rose had of picarso work. There in France. Jack Dawsons character is based on a real person yes. There was a J Dawson who died on the titanic. But his life story was false. There are alot of things about the movie which are just put in for the movie, like the fact that back then a third class passanger would never be allowed to go anywhere in first class out of fear of disease. There are heaps of web sites that state what is fact or fiction. Go to a search engine, type in titanic movie mistakes and go from there.
Oh and the movie Titanic also has the most mistakes of any movie in history. Over 200 i think..
Hope it helped

the necklace is fictitious. a lot of the people that are in the movie where in fact on the ship... Like Molly Brown. You can just google Titanic and find out a lot about it. James Cameron was very true to the design of the ship though...right down to the emblems on the china.

i don't know how much is fiction. but i do know the director got in trouble with the family of molly brown for not making her argue with the guy in the lifeboat more.
other than that, i think they did a pretty good job. i used to read alot about the titanic and they showed what happened when the boat sank really well.
and i don't think rose and jack were real people or if they were based on real people.

Molly Brown was actually on the ship, yes. Not sure about the other characters. I'm pretty sure Rose is fake and I know Leo's character is. Their whole story was just movie.
