can somebody please explain this to me

they are one of the few shows on actual network tv that deals with unrealistic things...

If anything, Heroes is more akin to The 4400 when you think about special powers and all that. There's a bit more mysticism in Heroes (as in Lost) and Nathan Petrelli, (flying politician in Heroes) mentioned something about all the 'Heroes' being rounded up on a desert island - then people started talking about a Lost-Heroes connection. It's a bit of a reach.

Also, the guy Matt who plays the mind-reading cop in Heroes was also a bit-part in Lost way back.

So, in my opinion, I don't see Heroes being compared to Lost but they are both big mystery shows and I guess the fans are having fun sifting through both of them for more infotainment.

I don't see why, they are nothing alike in my opinion.
The one reason I can think about is that the two shows were hits from the time they came out.

I don't know. They're two completely different shows. Personally, between the two, I prefer LOST.

I guess because they're both "hit" shows and so many people like both of them. Other than that I see no comparison.
