Both teams went out prematurely in this year's NCAA tournament. But the good news is none of the starters from either team are seniors, so the outlook for next year are good (at least for Duke, Kevin Durant could leave).

Duke was clearly more disappointing because Durant was an unknown entity prior to the season. Texas improved as the seaosn went on and just ran into a very hot USC team. Duke, frankly, choked a lead late on Thursday, which was a reflection on their whole season. When VCU was sneaking back in the second half, it brought flashbacks of the Florida State and Maryland losses at Duke

Duke was WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more disappointing. This is Duke, and they ended up with a 6 seed and out round 1 to VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH. Texas was predicted further by several pundits, but they had lot's of youth (they have ONE, yes that is not a misprint, ONE player who has been at the school for two previous years, he's a RS Soph) and pre-season was supposed to finish behind Kansas and Texas A&M in the conference standings and tournament. They almost won both. Despite the loss to a very talented, experienced USC, Texas will be disappointed but compared to the pre-season expectations, they were good. Duke failed for a pre-season top-15 team.

out of those 2 its definitly duke. they have all the great records and broke a lot of them this year. They broke their 9 straight acc championship games and like 7 straight sweet 16's. They also broke their record of 200 straight weeks being ranked. Duke has the higher expectations than texas year after year. Expect duke to bounce back next season. Anyways, Uconn had a disappointing season too. Clemson has a disappointing ending. It's amazing starting the season 17-0 and not even make ncaa tourny.

Duke for going out in the first round

the most disapointing this year has to be Wisconsin

they were probably a top 3 team in the Nation and fell to a 2 seed because of Ohio State and are out of the Tourney all together

Definately Duke. Duke had a disappointing regular season as well as postseason. The coach and fans aren't used to losing either. Texas just was off a beat in the tournament.

Duke was more disappointing because they were expected to do good and texas was just kind of a team that was like oh wow they have a good freshman maybe theyll do good. Duke is expected to do good. Texas almost in a way got there by just having a great star.

Duke by far. Texas at least looked respectable all year and had real talent on it's roster. Duke is in a down period right now. That group just isn't as talented as Duke is used to.
