yes, of course....even if the human race was wiped out totally, the world, the earth will continue its course, with or without us.
We are not essential to Mother Earth, but just another species. As the human being developed troughout millions of years, other life forms will spring up and in the next two or three hundred million years maybe a new human race will see the face of Earth. Hopefully with a better brain.

Definitely. We are hardly the species with the best ability to adapt. It will greatly depend on what conditions are present for which new species will flourish. My guess, it will be something from the nether regions of the sea. Mainly based on its distance and lesser exposure to whatever got rid of us. That and cockroaches :P

The earth is around 4.5 billion years old. Life has been on earth for around 3.5 nillion years. Man has been around 1 million years.

Life will exist after man has wipped himself off of the earth.

Yes; there are millions of species of life on earth, from insects to plants to animals. They were here before we came, and there will be plenty after we're gone. We need the earth; the earth doesn't need US.

Cockroaches have been documented to be able to withstand the effects of radiation. Eventually the earth will only be inhabited by big creepy bugs.

Yes, indeed, because life such as rock eaters down in dark caves hundreds of feet below earth's surface can exist in such extreme conditions, that i think that they would stay alive.
BTW: cockroaches can't die from nuclear war, remember? ; )
