Is it for just looking stylish, or does it help on tennis? Just curious.

It has 2 reasons: 1- to wipe the sweat of your forehead & prevent the sweat from dripping down your arms into your hands which could make your grip on the racquet slips, especially in serving. 2- It binds your wrest bones so to prevent wrist injuries.

ok, just like a head band a tennis wrist band is for cleanning the sweat away from your face, and as u say some people just wear it for stylish purpose but the main function is to clean the sweat drippling from ur face instead of using your hand which will make ur hand wet and u wont be able to grip the racquet firmly.

First, most importantly is to keep your hand dry from sweat thereby keeping the grip dry.
second, as an after thought it allowed one to wipe off their brow/face since we cannot always carry a towel on the court.
