We have known these people since we were in middle school, we all have since grown up and married.

We recently were offered their house to rent by the Husband. Turns out, that the wife wants her friends to live in the house instead, after we accepted weeks prior to this! We put in our notice just as they wanted us to, we even had a copy of the lease for review, as well as discussing the deposit.

We feel really hurt and don't know if we can move past this. Is this friendship worth saving or trashing? Are we being too unforgiving? Advice please!

Cold really. Two wrongs don't make a right. Besides thats his wife, sorry you've been friends for a long time and all that, but are you guys going to give him a family? Take care of his family? Have sex with him? Ether way this day and age you can't expect a person to go against there wife for the sack of an age old relationship. I know, I know it isn't fair and it isn't right but then again so not what society is doing here. Don't let it ruin a good friendship, of course now I doubt how good that relationship is since your frist reaction was to cut him off. Had it be a great friendship you never would of seen that option. So it would seem to me that your expecting too much. And that you really don't understand this friend stituation with his wife. I mean I highly doubt him and his wife sat around and thought muahahahah were going to screw these old friends of mine over just because mahahha which would be the only reason to be so upset with him. Ether that are he was a really good, trustworthy friend and you didn't see this coming from a mile away. If thats the case then accept that things have changed for him and he is no longer the sole policy maker in his household. Its not right but darnit most marriages boil down to a business agreement nowadays anyways and your really just not part of that agreement. I hate it too, but doesn't mean we have to hate our friends for doing it the same as everyone else.
